We are pleased to welcome Rashaan Josey, President of the Automotive Business Unit at Bose Corporation, to our Board of Directors.
A global business executive, engineer, and longtime mentor, Rashaan brings extensive experience in strategy development, global operations, financial leadership, organizational development, and corporate social impact. Just as important, he brings a personal commitment to helping young people build successful futures.
“I’m inspired by the long-term commitment Winning Futures has to students through very important, transformative, and consequential periods in their journey,” Rashaan said. “It is that long-term commitment that makes Winning Futures unique and produces successful outcomes.”
As President of Bose Automotive, Rashaan leads the company’s global automotive business, providing executive leadership for worldwide strategy, commercial operations, engineering, product management, customer engagement, and organizational performance. During his career at Bose, he has held leadership roles spanning engineering, software development, product management, sales, marketing, and commercial leadership.
Rashaan’s commitment to mentorship and community impact extends well beyond his professional responsibilities. He has served as a community and professional mentor for more than 20 years and helps drive social impact and volunteer initiatives at Bose.
He also serves as Executive Sponsor of Black @ Bose and is a member of Black Executive Men. Rashaan was recognized as a 2026 Michigan Chronicle Men of Excellence honoree and, in 2023, as one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business.
“Rashaan understands the power of mentorship because he has spent more than two decades investing in other people,” said Kris Marshall, President and CEO. “His executive leadership, commitment to young people, and extensive relationships throughout the automotive and business communities will be tremendous assets for our mission. I’m especially excited about his passion for helping us connect more caring adults with our students.”
As a member of the Board, Rashaan hopes to use his professional and community networks to help us expand our reach, strengthen fundraising, and recruit more volunteer Career Mentors, including more Black men to serve as positive role models for students.
Rashaan earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. His executive education includes Stanford Graduate School of Business’ Managing Teams for Innovation and Success program.
For Rashaan, joining the Board represents another way to build upon more than 20 years of mentorship, this time helping strengthen an organization designed to support students for seven years as they move from high school toward careers and adulthood.
His experience and commitment will help us continue empowering tomorrow’s workforce.
