We are very pleased to announce that Stephanie Burnley-Hemphill, Co-CEO and general manager at Devon Group, has been elected to our Board of Directors.
“My heart told me, ‘This is it,’” said Burnley-Hemphill. “I love the fact that Winning Futures helps students throughout their high school and college paths. I look forward to jumping in and supporting their mission and students.”
Devon Group consists of Devon Contracting, Inc., and Devon Industrial Group, a general contracting and construction management firm. Stephanie began her career in the family business 17 years ago and has worked in every department in preparation for succeeding her father, David Burnley, Sr., as the next CEO. In her current role, she supports the company’s daily operations.
“I’m very pleased that Stephanie is joining our team,” said Kristina Marshall, president and CEO of Winning Futures. “Her leadership skills and experience in the construction industry will undoubtedly have a positive impact on our work and students.”
Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in management from Wayne State University. She also attended the Building a High-Performing Minority Business Program at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She is an active board member for the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council and co-chair of the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee – Construction Group.
