It may be cold outside, but we are thinking about SUMMER here at Winning Futures! Today we are announcing opportunities to get your feet wet with mentoring and volunteer with us in May, June, or July. This summer we will be offering short-term or one-time mentoring opportunities at one of 3 locations. Cass Tech High School, Cornerstone- Madison Carver, and Golightly Education Center.

Volunteers are needed to work with 5th – 9th grade boys and girls in a structured classroom setting. “Short-Term Mentors” will work with 3-5 students on fun, hands-on activities based around goal setting, positive attitude, and team work. Volunteers will receive a training email to prepare for the class.

The Greg Kelser “Shoot for your Goals” basketball camp will take place at Cass Technical High School this year and our mentors will serve young athletes off the court in the classroom. Those sessions run June 22nd through 26th for one hour in the morning.

Cornerstone Madison Carver will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the morning from May 19th through June 18th. Golightly Education Center hosts our mentoring on Wednesday mornings July 1st through July 29th.
