Young women who are enrolled in Community High School’s Winning Futures mentoring program participated in a “Dress for Success” shopping event at the DOTS outlet in Warren, Michigan on December 11. This event was part of Winning Futures’ career development program which enables students to plan for their future careers and enhance their chances of employment in today’s competitive job market.

Students shopped for professional workplace attire using gift cards provided by Winning Futures. Students’ mentors were on hand to give styling advice, assistance and encouragement.

“Winning Futures’ mission is to provide its students with goal-setting and life skills for their success after graduating,” said Winning Futures Vice President and Program Director Laurie Tarter. “This event is an extension of that and to show these young ladies that is not just what you know or who you know that matters in the workforce, but how you present yourself at an interview and on the job.”
