The Winning Future’ Board of Directors has recently gained another new member, Olga Alavanou. Olga is the Executive Vice President at Yazaki North America, a tier one automotive supplier of electrical distribution systems, instrumentation and electronics. Olga is responsible for Yazaki’s GM, Ford and Fiat-Chrysler business units. She helps to develop and execute customer specific global strategies from concept through delivery. She is accountable for the overall business performance and customer relationships.
Olga has over 25 years in the industry and has had many roles and responsibilities. She has experience is many cultures as well including: Japan, China, India, Italy, Mexico, Germany, North Africa, Turkey, Philippines, Thailand, and Brazil. She has global influence and leads global initiatives. Olga earned her bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University and her MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy. She also speaks fluent Greek.
Olga shared why she is excited to serve on the Winning Futures Board of Directors. “I am very excited to be on the Winning Futures Board. I believe that making sure that the next generation receives the best tools and support they need to be productive members of our society needs to be a top priority. Setting life goals, having the disciple to follow through, and be exposed to the right role models will give our next generation what they need to be successful in their lives. As professionals it is our responsibility to ensure that this happens.”
