We are very pleased to announce that Lawrence Williams II has been elected to our Board of Directors.
Williams is a transformational leader with over 28 years of success in the automotive and commercial vehicle industries driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence. In his role at Forvia, Williams leads strategic initiatives to advance minority supplier development and drive sustainable economic growth. He is active and holds leadership positions in the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council Corporate Development Committee, Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association Sales Executive Council, General Motors’ Supplier Inclusion Board, and Disability: IN Council.

Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from Central State University, a Master of Science in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Master of Business Administration from Oakland University. He completed the Executive Leadership Program at the London Business School and is a certified Project Management Professional. A steadfast southeast Michigan community advocate, he is a former board member for the March of Dimes and former president of the Iota Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity where he established a mentoring program for minority school students in Oakland County. He also previously served as a mentor and fundraiser for the Midnight Golf program.
