Deniescha Malone

Deniescha Malone, Ed.S – Program Assistant

Deniescha Malone is a committed educator with over twenty-six years experience in K-12 education. She joined our team in July of 2024. As a a program assistant, Deniescha supports facilitation of our Workforce Prep program at participating local high schools.

Deniescha has a total of 26 years of experience in teaching and school administration. She started her career as a middle school English teacher for Detroit Public Schools in 1998. She also worked for Southfield Public Schools, where she taught reading and advanced placement English, served as department chair, IB/AP and testing coordinator, and advisor for Scholars Plus, U-Cares, and the book club at University High School Academy. Deniescha was the yearbook advisor and literary magazine advisor for Southfield-Lathrup High School. She rounded out the last few years serving as a middle school principal, assistant director of literacy for DPSCD, and English teacher at Cass Technical High School.

Deniescha is a Detroit native, who briefly lived in Maryland (the DMV area) and Monrovia, California (just outside of LA) for a brief period of her childhood. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Wayne State University. She received her Education Specialist degree in Educational Administration from Oakland University and an associate’s degree in paralegal studies from Macomb Community College. Deniescha is a wife, mom, and bonus mom of three adult young men, and the grandmom of a 14-year-old young lady. She enjoys “painting with a twist,” traveling as much as she possibly can, and a simple trip to Belle Isle or Metro Beach to enjoy sitting by the water with a good book.
