Mission & Values 2

Our Mission

We empower high school and college students to achieve the life they dream of through our seven-year workforce prep and career mentoring program.

About Us

We are a nationally recognized and award-winning expert in empowering high school students to succeed. Through our evidence-based and structured Workforce Prep program, students throughout Metro Detroit are immersed in a seven-year experiential curriculum that includes career mentoring, life and job readiness skills development, goal setting, career exploration, and college success coaching. With help from business partners and volunteers who serve as career mentors, students become self-reliant, employable, and productive adults with defined academic and career goals, and highly desirable workforce skills. Researchers at the University of Michigan deemed our program to have a statistically significant and equitable impact on all students regardless of race, economic level, or gender. Since 1994, we have positively impacted more than 50,000 students and have awarded more than $2.1 million in scholarships.
