Job Title: Data and Technology Specialist
Supervisor: Operations Manager
Location: Troy, MI – Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the office. Other days are mainly at home with potential time in the office, at schools, or at events when needed.
Hours: Full-time
Join the Winning Futures team and help us prepare teens for success! The Data and Technology Specialist supports the day-to-day operations of Winning Futures by maintaining the organization's data systems, administering the CRM platform, providing staff technology support, and assisting with the adoption of AI tools. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, keeping data clean and organized, and helping people use technology more effectively.
We are a nationally recognized leader in empowering students, ages 14 to 23, to overcome obstacles and achieve their career goals. Our seven-year Workforce Prep Mentoring Program begins in 10th grade and continues through four years of college or trade school. Students are paired with volunteer Career Mentors from the business community who provide encouragement and real-world advice. Together they meet regularly during organized, staff-led, one-hour sessions focused on career exploration, skill development, and academic and career planning. Responsibilities:
- Build, clean, and maintain sections in the CRM (Sumac); create search functions and audit entries/data to keep contact information accurate and up to date
- Upload contacts into the CRM; clean for duplicates
- Manage the full Sumac audit process to ensure accurate data: conduct audits, clean data, identify patterns with data errors and coach staff, build out or update audits, update Sumac Audit MS Planner
- Create and update projects and timelines in MS Planner; export, clean, and re-upload organizational plans as needed
- Update/create assigned Handbooks and How To documents
- Manage Calendly for classroom visitors; create and manage sponsor and guest registration surveys in MS Forms
- Perform basic computer health checks twice per year; set up new computers with SharePoint, Microsoft products, printer software, and other required applications
- Troubleshoot issues with laptops and software when staff have issues (basic helpdesk tasks)
- Research and implement AI resources that can improve efficiencies and/or quality of operations
- Other duties, as needed
Applicants Should Have These Qualities:

- CRM OR DATABASE EXPERIENCE: Using or managing an online CRM is preferred.

Education and experience:
- This position requires completion of a certification program, associate degree, or higher, along with experience.
