Chris Petrovich, Data and Technology Specialist
Having been heavily involved in the education world for the last decade, assisting his wife who is a teacher, volunteering at schools, and raising his children, education has become especially important to Chris. This passion inspired him to join our team in July 2026 as a Data and Technology Specialist.
In this role, Chris manages database administration, data sanitation, IT support, and systems workflows. He ensures data accuracy within our CRM and maintains the smooth operation of staff hardware and software.
Before pivoting to technology, Chris spent the better part of his professional life in retail management. There, he mastered crucial soft skills including leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service.
For the previous ten years, Chris worked primarily in manufacturing IT, which left him feeling unfulfilled. Seeking a meaningful change to align his skills with a community-focused endeavor, Chris found his purpose in our mission.

Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Chris took a non-traditional path to higher education. He earned a bachelor’s degree in information technology online through the University of Phoenix. In 2016, he moved to Michigan and now resides in Macomb with his wife, Kelly, and two boys. Outside of work, Chris loves spending time with his family, riding bikes, gaming, traveling, and showing his sons the world.
