Job Title: Development Assistant

Supervisor: Director of Development

Location: Warren, MI (After training period: Monday and Wednesday at the office, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday choose to work at home or at the office)

Hours: Full-time

Join the Winning Futures team and help us prepare teens for success! This full-time position supports our fundraising team and development activities. Tasks include updating our database/CRM with donor information, following up with board members, connecting with donors to track their event attendance, and editing grants. Your efforts will make an impact on our students!

Major Responsibilities:

  • Enter foundation benefits into our online database/CRM system (Sumac)
  • Update proposals created in MS Word with new photos and sponsor benefits; create sponsor invoices as needed
  • Interact with new and returning sponsors regarding their invoices and payments (including late payments)
  • Document and update funding contacts in our online CRM system (Sumac)
  • Assist in writing small grant reports and editing grants for grammar and details from a writing rubric
  • Communicate with sponsors regarding benefits and tickets for our fundraising events, and manage fundraising event RSVPs
  • Assist in the stewardship of donors, including handwritten notes, sending mail merged emails, and making appreciation phone calls
  • Manage and track changes to the Board of Directors and board attendance at meetings and events; record all board e-votes and send text messages to the board to follow up on their prospects
  • Pull bi-weekly reports from our CRM regarding our funding prospects
  • Review our CRM entries for accuracy and make corrections
  • Other duties as needed

Education and experience: This position requires completion of a certification program, associate degree, or higher, along with 2 years of experience working/volunteering in an administrative role that includes data entry and other clerical tasks.
