Olyvia has a spark for giving back. She joined our team in December, 2017, as a development coordinator and specializes in writing grant proposals, supporting special events, and stewarding donors.
Olyvia graduated from Alma College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, having double majored in English and theatre. She worked for a nonprofit theatre in Connecticut as a company management intern where she assisted in running special events for donors and actors. After moving back to Michigan, Olyvia worked as an intern and executive assistant for Henry Ford Health System in the philanthropy department. She most enjoyed her time on the Game On Cancer team, working with the Detroit Lions and Pistons, raising funds to improve access to care.
“As Larry Johnson said, ‘Fundraising is not really about money, it’s about people.’ We want our kids to feel valued and supported. That’s why I take pride in being part of the Winning Futures team,” Olyvia said. “We do everything we can to empower our students for success.”
Olyvia recently got engaged to her high-school sweetheart. They live in Grosse Pointe Park with their cat, Nemo. She loves theatre, listening to audiobooks, spending time with her family, traveling, and eating exotic foods.
