Rahana Chowdhury – AmeriCorps VISTA Member

Rahana joined our team in January 2022. In her role as an AmeriCorps VISTA Member, Rahana handles the student case management for our College Success Mentoring Program and works directly with students to ensure that they have the proper support they need throughout the academic year.

Rahana’s passion for public service-oriented work began in high school and continued through college where she was a member of Wayne State University’s UNICEF organization. Through UNICEF Wayne State, Rahana helped provide awareness of issues affecting children from child abuse to mental health. She was recognized as UNICEF Wayne State’s Member of the Month in Spring of 2021.

Rahana graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in Fall 2021, and she hopes to pursue a master’s degree in the near future.
