Winning Futures mentor and Fitzpatrick Manufacturing Plant Manager Dave Fernholz will be honored with the 2013 Outstanding Warren Volunteer Recognition Award due to his ongoing involvement in our organization.  Through his service as a mentor and role model to teens at Warren’s alternative Community High-School, Mr. Fernholz has helped to achieve our mission to encourage and develop active citizens and future leaders in southeastern Michigan.

In Mr. Fernholz’s 14 years of volunteering with us, he has mentored nearly 60 students.  In addition, he is a Warren resident whose two daughters both attended Warren Mott High School.  He is a sterling example of a good citizen of your city and a model of the value of charitable giving.  Without the commitment and participation of volunteers like Dave Fernholz, Winning Futures would not have been able to positively impact the lives of more than 20,000 students – many of whom were born and raised right here in Warren – since its inception in 1994.

Mr. Fernholz will receive his award at a ceremony to be held at Warren’s City Hall on Wednesday, April 24 at 8:00 p.m.  Anyone who wishes to attend this free event may do so without reservations.
